pen drive not shown in my computer

when i connect my pen drive in to the computer it does not shown in my computer. I checked the system with anti viruses and whwn i install a new antivirus it shows the error message as "The action is only valid for the products that are currently installed" What can i do? please help me

Hello anoopkp,

Does your pen drive work if inserted into another computer? If "no", drive may be bad or needs to be re-formatted. If "yes" then here are a few suggestions that you could try:

If you feel that your problem is malware related, then you should create a post in the Am I infected? What do I do? Forum to rule out infection as a cause.
