What do you mean by "really bad ping" and "pings are very very high"?

In what way are you discovering them? Through what program?

I presume that your operating system is Vista given the forum you've posted in.

when I say pings i mean through dos, through tests like pingtest.net, through steam everything. My slandered pings are normal at about 43ms to google for the past week they have been 100+ I am running on vista. I even ran combofix, avast, malwarebytes, spybot, and blacklight. Really at this point I have neat about cute this thing in half with a knife. I am at a loss I need help I can send a dxdiag if you like but so far for the work i have been doing its not helping. I have switched from wireless to a wire same issue its on my end. I know it is I have also done trace routes so i dont know what i can do now. On and one last thing I have updated my drivers to my NIC and its still a no go.

Please go here: http://www.speedtest.net/ and run a few tests and post the results here.

Also it would be greatly beneficial to have listed your connection speed and how you connect.

An example of this would be:

I have 45Megabit Symmetrical FiOS Business Internet (meaning up and down is the same).

I connect via wireless to my router or wired, and give the router model number like Actiontec MI424WR-GEN2 with latest firmware.

Also please:

Please download MiniToolBox, save it to your desktop and run it.

Checkmark the following checkboxes:
  • Flush DNS
  • Report IE Proxy Settings
  • Reset IE Proxy Settings
  • Report FF Proxy Settings
  • Reset FF Proxy Settings
  • List content of Hosts
  • List IP configuration
  • List last 10 Event Viewer log
  • List Installed Programs
  • List Users, Partitions and Memory size.
  • List Minidump Files
Click Go and post the result (Result.txt). A copy of Result.txt will be saved in the same directory the tool is run.

Note: When using "Reset FF Proxy Settings" option Firefox should be closed.

I see you have Bit Torrent installed on the machine, when you are playing is Bit Torrent actively downloading stuff? Because with your upload speed all used up your pings will suffer.

You also never told me what package you are receiving from your ISP with speed like in my example.

Who is your ISP and where are you located?

That is way to many devices for the amount of upload you have if they are all doing things like youtube and stuff.

What are they doing on the lap top any amount of bandwidth intensive use will drop your pings even if its a file upload. Or YouTube, or anything like that.

7Megabit Down and 512Kilobit up equates to 1Megabyte a Second download which can be swamped by Steam, and 512Kilobit Upload equates to 64Kilobytes a second which can easily be swamped by Skype, File Uploading and sharing, Web cameras, and other applications that need high upload.
