Hello - this is my first post.

As the title indicates, I am humbled and grateful to be here. Humbled - because in 14 years of using a PC I have never once been afflicted with malware. Grateful - to have such a great resource as this to help me out.

Once I've finished going through the Welcome Guide, I'll post about my problem. For all I know, I may not even have a malware problem. Multiple malware scanners (Norton Power Eraser, Malwarebytes, Spybot S &D) say my computer is clean; and two rootkit detectors (Sophos and GMER) say I am not rootkitted. Yet, I am experiencing something really weird.

Thanks for everyone's help. I truly appreciate it.

The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who haven't got it.
