I am trying my luck doing a manual reinstallation of WinXP on my kid's Dell Inspiron 1010 netbook. I think I successfully reinstalled the OS and partioning of the HD. Now I'm stuck trying to reload the drivers. Evidently they need to be installed in a certain order. I'm getting a recommendation on the screen from Dell that it is suggested that I install Desktop/Notebook System Software (DSS/NSS) prior to installation of drivers. Can't find DSS or NSS on any of the resource discs. Can anyone be a saint and help?

They probably mean all the programs listed under the "System Software" category on this page. You can also grab the latest drivers from that page.
