My budget for the new computer is: 400 - 500

What are the primary uses for this computer (IE: mail, web browsing, programming, games, etc)? mail, web browsing, student stuff

What software do you intend on using on the computer? Antivirus,

Do you play games? If so, what type of games? none

Do you tend to have a lot of programs running at the same time, or do you close every program when you are done using it? close

Do you store a lot of pictures or music on the computer? pictures and music

Im looking to buy my daughter a laptop for college so it will be used for all the things that students get upto. Not into online games but likes music and photos, she also likes the "DELL INSPIRON 15R" because ou can get it in pink http://www.dell.com/uk/p/inspiron-15r-n5110/pd

Or have you good guys/gals got anything else in mind

Which specific model are you talking about for the 429? They can be bascially be customized.
