Okay here is the deal Computer was acting up not wanting to fire up. not recognizing HHDs and Mem. when it finally did it only saw 2g of 4g of memory. I bought a new MOB and CPU new DDR3 MSI 879-G54 MOB and AMD 955 blk. The board has no on board vid so I got a Gigabyte GT520 1g card. I want to use my old OS "XP" for now due to $ reasons and trying to make due until finished with school. I have everything loaded in and wired up. When I turn on nothing comes on the monitor. like maybe the card is not working. Also when the Cat5 is plugged in there are no lights on around it. I thought that my hd would recognize the change and prompt to certify the windows... Hava I totally F----ed this thing up and now need to get a new Hd and OS or is there some way to save couple hundred by getting this to work.....

I need to know asap.. Need it operational by Monday AM...

You will need to reformat and install a fresh copy of windows because you are running a different hardware.

<<...want to use my old OS "XP" for now due to $ reasons>>

Not likely, IMO. Hard for me to believe "$ reasons" considering all the new hardware, but it doesn't matter what the reason might be. If you use Google, you will see that it's unlikely to be successful.
