I finally managed to figure out the wayward wireless password on our router. It works on my MacBook Pro, but doesnt on my sisters Vista. It connects to the network, but cant connect to the internet.

NETGEAR Wireless-N 300 Router
Any distance. Its a laptop :)
Earthlink DSL

Should I still do that MiniToolBox thing? I figure some button was just not clicked (since the wifi works for me) and I dont know Vista, so I cant figure it out.

Thanks, as always. :D

Yes please run the MiniToolBox on the PC and transfer the log file to the Mac and post it in this thread. This will tell us what your TCP/IP setting are on the PC. There is likely a problem with your default gateway or DNS server settings.

From the Vista laptop ping 10.0.0.1 (I am gathering this is the address of the router) Next on find out your Ip address on your MacBook by looking in Network Panel in System Preferences, Now try to ping the MacBook from the vista laptop, Last but not least try and ping the Google DNS server at 8.8.8.8. If you are able to ping the router the wireless connection to the router is fine, if you are able to ping the MacBook you are able to send traffic on the network, If you are able to ping Google then you are able to access the internet and there is likely a problem with your DNS server settings.

Edit: To ping from the Vista laptop go to the search box in the start menu and type command and then open the command window. At the command prompt type ping and enter the Ip address you are pinging then press enter. For example to ping your router it would be ping 10.0.0.1, Google would be ping 8.8.8.8
