My friend asked me to help him build a machine and I was wondering if someone could help pick a board. We have decided on the 2600k for the cpu, 580 for video (probably 2 of them in sli),Ripjaw for the ram and either a 690ii or a Phantom to put it all in. I am looking for an 1155 board that will run 2x16 and 1x4 pci-e so if we want two video cards and a Revo x2 we won't run in to problems. Is there such a board?

No there is not. 1155 boards run max 2x8, 1156 boards have 2x16. I would recommend Asrock p67 gen 4

It has Pcie 3.0 slots so it is one of the most future proof mobos out there atm

That board runs at 8x when used to SLI or Crossfire.

That is a very future proof board with the pci-e 3.0 but it does not say if it can at x16 in crossfire or SLI mode.

Build complete. AsRock Z68 Pro G3, 2600K, Corair H100 (push/pull), 8 GB 2133 Ripjaw, Evga 580, Revo 3, Cooler Master 800 watt Silent Pro all wrapped in a 690 ii Nvidia Edition. Looks good, runs even better. Haven't O'ced yet, perhaps this weekend. Thanks for your help.

4.78 Ghz O'ced Folding @ 100% CPU usage stays under 45c. Gonna try for 5 Ghz after the storm.

1090 should go a little higher, that memory timing is tight though. Try upping the Vcore voltage. Or at least unlock it so it can adjust itself. I built a 1055 recently with a friend of mine and goes 3.8, but it's on a Crosshair Formula.

Try not using OC profile. Just OC the Cpu. Adjust the multiplier.

The stock speed was 3.2 and i changed multiplier to make it go up to 3.8 with stock voltage. Anything above that even with the voltage on 1.5V it still crashes. I reckon it has something to do my with my motherboard since it is only a 4+1 Phase Power. I did not set or use any OC profile.
