I am trying to save from my laptop to my USB. No problems for months. Now message comes up that write protection is on and I can't save to my USB. I can save from the USB to my laptop. I checked the available space. Plenty left. Is the USB damaged? Anyone know how to remove the write protection? I can't find any instructions on my computer nor online for this problem.

Hi Pasha and welcome to BleepingComputer...

What is the make and model of the USB drive? I own a DiskGo and it has a small switch the write protects the drive. Browse the drive with My Computer and right click on the drive letter. Select properties.

Does it mention anything about write protection there?

Good luck,
