Hello all...

I have this computer that I need to install a Xp O.S on. I have gone into the BIOS and done the normal procedure to boot of Cd in order to install the OS.

The BIOS saves the settings but: When the dialog comes up: "PRESS ANY KEY TO BOOT FROM CD" it does not recognize me "pounding" on the keys/...?

I have tried a PS2 keyboard & mouse with no luck the drive seems to spin but it ignores my keyboard strokes

Any one have some recommendations

Kind Regards...

Is this an original, retail XP CD or a duplicate copy? Have you tried it in another system to make sure it is bootable? Have you tried a different bootable disc in this system?

On this Boot Sequence screen, do you also see USB listed?

If Yes, please give the following articles a read:

Fixed it...

The problem was that the cd drive was not reading the oem cd.

I took it out of another computer and bamm it worked like it should.
