I want to preserve the life of my new-ish OCZ vertex2 60gb SSD so I did the tweaks which are found here. I forgot to do a test before the tweaks for read/write speeds but I did do one after and according on CrystalDiskMark on 50MB and the results seem a bit low. Also, according to the OCZtoolbox program, since the tweak (which is about a week ago) the smart read data reports that I've written over 100gb, and I've never had this big of a write amount within such a short period of time and I'm not sure if this is due to the tweaks I've done.
