I am trying to install my Sims 2 game and all of my expansion packs onto my external hard drive in order to save space. I have moved my Documents folder to my desired drive, and installation of the base game to my external drive went fine. But when I tried to install my first expansion pack, when installation was nearly complete, I got an error message stating that "installation of the update failed" (or something to that effect; I can't remember the exact wording.)

What am I doing wrong, does anyone have any ideas? I created a folder called "EA Games" on my destination drive and installed my base game into that, and as I said, it went fine. Should I create a separate folder within the EA Games folder for each subsequent expansion? I can't figure out what's going on with it.

Thanks in advance for any help!
