Can i skip installing MS Visual C++2005 Kb246715 and use only MS Visual C++ 2008 9.0.37029.4148?

What are the advantage of MS Visual C++ 2005?

My experience...certain programs need/install these and various versions of MS NET Framework.

If you want to read up on the specifics for these programs...please use Google.

I can't tell you either, I just allow them to be installed and then forget about them, considering them a fundamental part of either Windows or some MS program I have installed.
