I can't get this virus off my comp. AVG recognizes it but won't delete it. I've tried in safe mode and it's still there. I tried hijack this, rkill, and they don't work either. The virus redirects me to random websites when I'm on google. I tried to leave a DDS Log for someone to look at but it tells me my file is to big. Someone help please

Hello,

I see that you posted this same topic here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic413106.html

I'm going to ask you some questions here.

When you say "upload the file" do you mean that you are trying to upload it as an attachment?

Do you mean that you are trying to paste the log into the text box and it says the log is too big?

Yes, I'm trying to add it as an attachment, and it keeps telling me it's too big.

Okay. Instead of trying to post it as an attachment, copy and paste it into the text/message box (the area where I'm writing at the moment). If you get a message saying that it's too long, divide the log into logical chunks and use more than one post to post it.

Please post the log as a reply to your other topic here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic413106.html

Hello,

Wow  Looks like Yahoo went into overdrive in Firefox. At any rate, I have moved the sections of the log you posted to your other topic here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic413106.html The reason for this is because that topic is older, you will receive assistance sooner than with this topic. I'm simply helping to expedite that process. Please be sure to bookmark that other topic and subscribe to it.

Now that your log posted here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic413106.html you should NOT make further changes to your computer (install/uninstall programs, use special fix tools, delete files, edit the registry, etc) unless advised by a MRT Team member, nor should you ask for help elsewhere. Doing so can result in system changes which may not show in the log you already posted. Further, any modifications you make on your own may cause confusion for the helper assisting you and could complicate the malware removal process which would extend the time it takes to clean your computer.

From this point on the MRT Team should be the only members that you take advice from, until they have verified your log as clean.

Please be patient. It may take a while to get a response because the MRT Team members are EXTREMELY busy working logs posted before yours. They are volunteers who will help you out as soon as possible. Once you have made your post and are waiting, please DO NOT make another reply until it has been responded to by a member of the MRT Team. Generally the staff checks the forum for postings that have 0 replies as this makes it easier for them to identify those who have not been helped. If you post another response there will be 1 reply. A team member, looking for a new log to work may assume another MRT Team member is already assisting you and not open the thread to respond.

Please be patient. It may take several days to get a response but your log will be reviewed and answered as soon as possible. I advise checking your topic once a day for responses as the e-mail notification system is unreliable.

To avoid confusion, I am closing this topic. Good luck with your log.
