Hey guys. I need some help. I ran Spybot, Ad-Aware, and Ewido on a friends computer and am still having spyware problems. Much of the ram is taken up, but we don't have that many processes running. I've had trouble with eetu.exe, Mirar, Finflo.exe, and others. We've scanned with Norton to and are still getting hits even though we delete them. Here's a copy of the HJT log:

Thanks ~Kickehy

Download System Security Suite here:
System Security Suite Download. Unzip it to your desktop. Install the program. Don't use it yet.

Please print or copy these instructions because you are not able to access the Internet in SafeMode.

Run this registry script, which forces Windows to show so called "superhidden" files:
Copy the contents of the Quote box to Notepad, and save in a location of your choice as Unhide.reg (make sure to save as type: "All Files")

Doubleclick Unhide.reg, and answer 'yes' when prompted to add its contents to the Registry, then restart your computer.

This is only for XP or 2000 systems

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer]
"SearchSystemDirs"=dword:00000001
"SearchHidden"=dword:00000001
"IncludeSubFolders"=dword:00000001

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced]
"Hidden"=dword:00000001
"ShowSuperHidden"=dword:00000001

REBOOT into SafeMode by tapping F8 key repeatedly at bootup: Starting your computer in Safe mode

Run HijackThis!, press Scan, and put a checkmark next to all these:

R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing

Close all other windows and browsers, and press the Fix Checked button.

Search for these files and delete them if present:
002k0cho.dll <-- this file
C:\Program Files\System Files\System.exe <-- this file
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Windows\mc-110-12-0000121.exe <-- this file

C:\WINDOWS\System32\userinit.exe <-- this file IMPORTANT NOTE: Read below
You will find two files with the same name (userinit.exe) in the C:\WINDOWS\system32\ folder, delete the non-Microsoft file. To check which one is legit right click each file and select Properties. The legit Windows file is Userinit Logon Application (Description in General tab) = 24,0 KB.

Delete these folders, if present:
C:\Program Files\rdso\ <-- this folder

With all windows and browsers closed.
Clean out temporary and Temporary Internet Files.
A. Open System Security Suite.
B. In the Items to Clear tab thick:
- Internet Explorer (left pane): Cookies & Temporary files
- My Computer (right pane): Temporary files & Recycle Bin
Press the Clear Selected Items button.
Close the program.

REBOOT normally.

Run HijackThis! again and post a new log please.

Run this registry script, to reset the Windows Explorer settings:
Copy the contents of the Quote box to Notepad, and save in a location of your choice as ResetSuperhidden.reg (make sure to save as type: "All Files")

Doubleclick ResetSuperhidden.reg, and answer 'yes' when prompted to add its contents to the Registry, then restart your computer.

Download: ResetProtocolDefaults.reg (Right-click --> Save As)
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/ResetProtocolDefaults.reg

Locate "ResetProtocolDefaults.reg"
Right-click and select: Merge (OK the prompt)

Run HijackThis!, press Scan, and put a checkmark next to all these:

O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel present

O8 - Extra context menu item: &Viewpoint Search - res://C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Toolbar\ViewBar.dll/CXTSEARCH.HTML

Close all other windows and browsers, and press the Fix Checked button.

REBOOT and post a new log please,
Everyday is virus day. Do you know where your recovery CDs are ?
Did you create them yet ?
