Hi everybody,

Just upgraded my home PC, using XP Pro, surfing with a Netgear wireless router.
Since i reloaded XP every time i'm connected whether i'm on the internet or not i constantly receive a window popping up informing me that WLanCfg.exe has encountered a problem and asks me to report this to microsoft. Hitting either button for reporting or not makes no difference the window always reappears. I can change the driver for my Belkin usb connection but this then slows me down to a 12 Mbs connection althougth the window does not reappear .......Help it's driving me insane,
Any help appreciated,

Paul

try this
-make sure you have sp2 installed, and all your updates are done.
-check the web for driver updates for your NIC
-sounds like your wireless utility for your card is acting up, so check software update.

lemme know how u make out!

Hi,

Just kept on removing the software & reinstalling, on the 12 attempt for some reason it started working perfectly.
Everything else was bang up to date....I don't pretend to understand why, but it's working perfectly now.
Thanks for your help.
