Hello, this is my first post and I thank you for taking the time to help.

My issue is when I run Rkill it gives a message "Error: Installation failed". I've keep running Rkill as stated in the instructions well over 50 times with the same message and no results. Any suggestions or do I keep going?

Welcome to BC Livy

I have advised Grinler, the site owner who is also the developer of RKill.

Can you advise what operating system you are using?
What type of malware problems are you dealing with?

Can you create files in the %temp% folder? This may be a permission issue.

hey grinler! awesome work with rkill, it's VERY good! used it before, but now i'm having some problems.

just like the OP, i'm getting the same messages. tried all of the different named rkill options, but it's almost like the virus is nuking it before it has a chance to come up. i know it's not a permissions issue, because i've used the tool before, no problems; i'm also the admin.

using windows XP, in safe mode. hopefully you can help me out!

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Have you tried running it in safe mode? From your post I assume you have but want to make sure.

Please download the env.bat and run it. Feel free to edit out any personally identifiable info.
