Hello folks,
Upon running almost any programs, I'm getting a message pop up stating:

The application or DLL C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\LSPVPK.DLL is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette.

This pops up repeatedly with the only option to click O.K. and eventually the program runs with no apparent faults. So I "Google" LSPVPK.DLL and get zero results, Then I come here to Bleepingcomputer.com and enter it into the search, and I get one result, from a scan log of mine from when I had a problem with malware ages ago.
My questions are, What is LSPVPK? What does it do? And why am I the only one who has it?

Thanks Jim.

P.S. Windows XP SP3

Download Autoruns for Windows: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinte...s/bb963902.aspx

No installation required.

Simply unzip Autoruns.zip file, and double click on autoruns.exe file to run the program.

Go File>Save, and save it as AutoRuns.txt file to know location.

You must select Text from drop-down menu as a file type:

Attach the file to your next reply.

Compliments of Broni

Uncheck this:

+ "PSP" "" "" "c:\windows\system32\lspvpk.dll"

then reboot the computer.

O.K. Unchecked and rebooted. No more annoying error boxes popping up, so far.

Thanks Jim.
