Hello all,

I am looking for a reliable Linux LiveCD that I can use to troubleshoot a Windows machine. Most specifically I am looking for a LiveCD that has NTFS-3g support (or better) I am also looking for a LiveCD that has fsck included so that I am can check the disk if I need to. I tried SLAX but it has become unreliable. Any suggestions?

Knoppix

Plop

SystemRescue

I use the last one all of the time for working on Window-based video systems at work.

All live CDs that I ever tried have fsck. Most now have ntfs-3g support out of the box.

As I know latest Linux kernels should support alot of hardware and filesystem drivers and latest ubuntu versions including livecd should support ntfs read-write since they all have everything what is needed already installed. All you need to mount drive you want to access.
I never had problems accessing the ntfs partitions and writing to it, and mostly it always works :)
