Hi,

I have a Toshiba Qosmio X505/500.

I keep having problems with sound.

The sound will become crackling and buzzy and then no sound at all although when I look at the speaker bar it is grrena nd moving.

I go to Control Panel and perform a SOund test. It shows the sound as moving and test results comes out ok but I dont hear anything.

Please help me.

Thank You

Speakers are more than likely bad. If you do the sound test and don't hear anything + you hear odd sounds like crackling and buzzing thats going to be your sign. But, it wouldn't hurt to head over to Toshiba's website and pickup the latest sound drivers *just in case*.

Hi MarkGS,

I am not very tech savvy so I hope you can help me.

I found the site to download the driver.

Question:

Where do I download this driver to and how do I get the driver to work?

Thanks

You can just download the file (should be .exe or .zip) to the desktop. Once it's on double click it and follow the prompts. If it's a .zip it should open a folder and double click the file inside and that should extract it. Once the file is extracted it should open up for you and just follow the prompts.

Hi MarkGS,

I have downlioaded the driver. It is the same as the original I already ahve - the latest version.

I have re-install anyway.

Sound is still crackling & buzzy. This means I need to replace the speakers?

Thanks
