Hi Adam315 and Welcome to the Bleeping Computer!

Lets have a look at a couple of files from your system.

Download this program:

Submit Files Packer
http://www.safer-networking.org/files/sfp.zip

Highlight the entries listed below in bold and right-click,then select Copy.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\msin.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\langexn.dll

Then start the file packer program and right click in the white box and select paste to paste the copied file names in the field.

Then press the Continue button.

I will create an archive with these files and a small log on your Desktop that starts with a name like requested-file[date].cab.

Rename this file to yourmembername.cab (for example Monster.cab).

Then go to:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/submit-malware.php
and fill in the required fields and browse to this file on your desktop. Finally click on the Send File button.

Let me get a peek at those and we will go from there.

I submitted the renamed .cab file as per your request.

I also ran thru the preperation guide and ran Spybot, Adaware, Kaspersky, Housecall, and Bitdefender to try to help you, help myself.

All of those came back negative, i just want to make sure theres nothing else going on there.

Hmmm, nothing in the cab file, maybe that file is allready gone.

Lets see!

Please download FileFind from Atribune.

Right Click the Zip Folder and select "Extract All"

Double Click FileFind.exe to run the tool.

Leave the Directory setting to C:\

Enter both these filename for a search

msin.exe

langexn.dll

As the search finishes for each, click export and notepad page will open with the results.

Copy the contents of both those search results into the next reply.

I have done as you asked and the export file on both items came up blank.

(I did delete a few viruses by myself)
Specifically
Win32.Sober@y.mm
Trojan.Bagle.BK

The backdoor.DNSX.A virus that was originally detected by norton, i was not able to find the langexn.dll file either. But now i am no longer getting that message. a full system scan shows that the system is clean.

Here is a new copy of a hijack this log. just incase you need it.

Open HijackThis-> Click "Do a System Scan Only" and put a check by these but DO NOT hit the Fix Checked button yet

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [WinSetup] C:\WINDOWS\system32\msin.exe

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [WinSetup] C:\WINDOWS\system32\msin.exe

O8 - Extra context menu item: &Search - http://bar.mywebsearch.com/menusearch.html?p=ZUxdm080YYUS

Not a problem Mr.Adam, always here to help!

Go ahead and Renable System Restore and restart the PC,this will clear out all old nasty restore points and create a nice new fresh clean one for you to fall back on should you ever need it.

It is suggested that you go and change all your passwords since some of these may have been compromised during the infection.

Read through those 3 little black links in my signature to get some extra ideas about how to avoid this in the future.

Please remember to check your AntiVirus and any Spyware Apps for updates atleast twice a week

Make sure you keep your Windows Operating System up to date by visiting Windows Updates regularly to download and install any critical updates and service packs.

If you ever need us again, you know how to find us! :flowers:
