Hi, brilliant bleepsters. :busy:

Malwarebytes, when asking me which drive I want to scan, has a selection box to check for H:\ which it says is a SSD and shows the SSD icon. I don't have a SSD internally. When I look in Device Manager, the only H:\ item it shows is my Brother all-in-one. It shows it under Portable Devices and has the scanner icon, not the SSD icon.

Is it the norm for AIO's to be the H:\ "drive?" And possibly show up in programs such as MWB as a SSD?

Thanks in advance!

I'm sorry -- Win 7 Home Premium, Intel Core2 Quad, 4 GB RAM, shop built machine, mobo and other specs are in my profile. Thanks.

I think that SSD is AIO Printer, does your printer have memory card slot?
could you tell your Brother AIO Printer type?

No, it does not have a memory card slot. It's a Brother AIO model MFC-250C. Thanks a lot.

External devices ( flash drives, printers, external Hdd's etc..) pick up the next letter in line so your printer can be E:, G: , H: whatever is next. Now, is the driver for your printer up to date?

Hi,

Just wanted to help out and clarify.
Are you sure it doesn't have any memory card slot?

I'm checking the user manual at http://www.brother-usa.com/ModelDocuments/Consumer/Users%20Manual/UM_MFC_250C_290C_EN_1771.PDF and it does say on Section IV Walk-Up Photo Printing, Photo capture center: printing photos from a memory card or USB flash memory drive.
However the user manual does say "UM_MFC_250C_290C_EN", so it might be for a similar model as yours.

Aha, it does have a flash drive slot! I'd never used the photo capture feature so I'd never investigated that. But looking at my manual, it does indeed have that one slot. Would that be why it's showing up as a SSD?

MarkGS, I'm not absolutely sure about my driver. I recently reinstalled Win 7, so that's a good question too.

Thanks a lot.
