I have upgraded to XP on a new Dell Dimension 5150 and find that my scanner, a Canoscan FB320P, is not recognised by XP. I have downloaded the latest drivers and fiddled with the BIOS settings (as recommended on one site) but with no success.

Can anyone advise how to overcome the problem without me having to purchase a new scanner?

Many thanks

I have no experince with the Canoscan FB320P, but I had a similar problem with a Umax 610P. I used a USB/paralel cable to run it thru my USB 1.1 port. That was with XP Pro SP1. I have since moved to a used HP 4P SCSI scanner, am sold the Umax.
