Hi, Windows 7 (probably Home edition) says "Logon Process Initiation Failure" and "Interactive logon process initiation has failed. Please consult the event log for more details." I installed Avast Antivirus just prior to this. After the install it said it blocked Malware and deleted it. I guess it deleted something important, as the message came up after restarting the system. I tried System Recovery using a Windows 7 disc, but it said there isn't room on the drive. This message is a result of a virus because the drive wasn't full in actuality. Tried the bootsector.exe (I think) in the Windows Recovery Command Prompt to rebuild member, etc. but no luck. I also deleted partitions 2 and 3 in hopes of increasing space of partition 1 for System Recovery to work. Did this delete all my data on those partitions? I can reinstall easily enough, and that would probably be the preferred method, given that posting logs takes time. I'd like to use something like Linux, Ubuntu, Bart, etc. to get my data and then reinstall. What is the easiest thing to download and use for data recovery? Thanks.
