i can't format or write to blank dvd-rw, i just bought some new verbatim dvd-rw and cannot create a system repair disc or format the dvd.

Acer Aspire 7735G
Windows 7 64 Bit (installed as new OS over pre-installed vista 32 bit)

Device Description TSSTcorp DVD+-RW TS-L633B ATA Device

Firmware Revision DW10

I installed this DW10 Firmware which is for Dell Machines and now i cannot find the original Acer firmware (AC01)

I did restore to factory settings but it loads the new DW10 Firmware.

The Drive will still work with most games except copy protected DVD-ROM.

DVD or CD disks do not need to be formatted.
Will it play DVD's or cd's?
In the beginning there was the command line.
