I just ran SFC Scannow and it did its useuall thing up until the end. It useually gives a report of its activity and what it found. Instead it just closed the little window. Now I waited for 5 minutes but I never got a report.

Something occured to me while running this.

Just how exactly is this supposed to work since the OS has been modified by the many patches and updates done to XP since the SFC was written. Does each time a update or patch is installed, is the file that SFC uses to compare against also updated? I would think it would have to be.

Can anyone confirm this possitively?

sorry i can't seem to find how to give ya a screen shot
