I've never used NeoOffice (or any spreadsheet) for much beyond tracking my checkbook.

Now, I'm starting to use it for other things, and I need some help figuring out how to put it into a chart.

In my spreadsheet, I have the first column, which is a list of dates (formatted: yyyy-mm-dd). I want to create a chart with an x-axis of month-to-month. The y-axis will use the 6th column, which has a value for each date. Kind of like this chart, but I don't need the second color, and I'd like the y-axis numbers on the left of my graph.

Can anyone help me with what's probably a 100-level question about making spreadsheet charts? =\
