As my other half insists on leaving the laptop constantly charging when I'm not around to switch it off I am now looking at a new battery for the above laptop.

Obtaining a legitimate OEM part seems quite expensive and something I'm not too keen on considering the same thing will happen.

I have had a look on eBay and seen some a third of the price but obviously I'd imagine you get what you pay for or is this maybe not the case?

Has anyone got any advice on purchasing a replacement battery? Amazon is normally a preferred hunting ground as there products get reviewed but they only have expensive ones.

I have also had great success purchasing Laptop batteries and Ac adapters, but I am sure there are some lemons out there. Just pay attention to the sellerís ratings and feedback.
