Hi. . .how are u all..

when i turned on my laptop some ten minutes back, before the bios finished
loading, i got this shocki Error message

"02FC: Main Fan and second Fan Error !!" "Please turn off system and check both your fans!!"


Did my SYtem Crashed !!?? I am scared to ask this..

Need Your HElp Again GUys...

(My System Manufacturer/Model Number GATEWAY MX 6926b)

Hi joe08 :)

Sounds a bit funny\unlucky that 2 fans both go at once. Can you see that they are not spinning through the vents?
Is it the same running on A\C power as opposed to Battery, if so it looks like you may have to replace fan\fans.
Maybe try cleaning by blowing out with a can of compressed air.

well its the same whtr its ruuni on power or on battery :huh:

i think i have to replace thm though :o all tese 4 yrs there wasnt any pbm..

Well--wht shld we do to reduce overheating ? Is ths pblm occured due to overheating ??

Hi joe08 :)

It may be down to overheating which has caused overworking of the fans. The best thing to do is not put the laptop on your lap, bed, chair etc which will cover the vents and insulate. You can purchase a cooler to sit it on simular to this which you plug in to a uSB port.
