My fiance and I were trying to look up information about Roku boxes, and got referred to a site (isn't that always the case?). Long story short, I got a notificationi from the free version of Spyware Doctor on my computer that I had a trojan.

It's listed as a Trojan Fake Alert with seven infections.

I physically went into the folder and deleted the first one, C:\Windows\tasks\{22116563-108C-42c0-A7CE-60161B75E508}.job

The problem is, while I know that first one was a threat, the other files are HKLM and HKU that say they need repaired. One of them is a WINLOGON, USERINIT.

I know I shouldn't be deleting these.

What should I do? I know I shouldn't use ComboFix on my own. I have Symantec, but it never seems to do any good.

I would be so incredibly grateful for any help.

Thanks!

Em
