Various "stopped working" popups after winscan removal

Getting various/intermittent "<program name> has stopped working" popups after recent winscan ("vista repair") removal.

Could not run DDS successfully due to "stopped working" popups (mostly PEV & GREP failures). Have run RSIT, but will await your directions about which log(s) to post.

Could not run GMER (Vista Home Premium SP2 64-bit system).

Unsure whether system is infected or if these are residual effects of removal.

Am open to full re-install of OS if that seems best / most efficient.

PS: This message was originally posted 05 July 2011 10:03 AM in the Logs forum, but perhaps that was not appropriate and/or there is not enough info to gain attention, since there have been no replies and more recent requests from others are being serviced. I am not impatient, but would at least like to hear whether anyone thinks they can help or not before I proceed with a full re-install. Thanks.
