the game is installed but when the 1st time setup starts nothing happens. this happens everytime i click play. what am i doing wrong? THE GAME SHOULD NOT SAY READY TO PLAY, IF ITS NOT READY TO PLAY! i sent steam customer service an email but no answer yet. i have installed the game a least 3 times already. with the same result NOTHING. i click play, a window pops up, a few seconds later it goes away. this is what reads in the window (microsoft vc redist package) and no i do not get any error message. i looked this up online and couldn't find anyone that remotely made this even some what easy to understand. i couldn't even find similiar answers. just the fact that lots of folks had a similiar problem. i have had problems with steam before, but nothing i couldn't figure out myself, until now lol! oh and i am ruuning windows 7 64bit. PLEASE HELP!

You are probably missing an application that is required for the game to run.

Please download MiniToolBox, save it to your desktop and run it.

Checkmark the following checkboxes:
  • List last 10 Event Viewer log
  • List Installed Programs
  • List Users, Partitions and Memory size.
  • List Minidump Files
Click Go and post the result (Result.txt). A copy of Result.txt will be saved in the same directory the tool is run.

Note: When using "Reset FF Proxy Settings" option Firefox should be closed.

It should also install applications needed to run the game like directx updates and stuff.

(MICROSOFT VC REDIST PACKAGE) is where it stops. it will try and load it, then it just goes away and nothing happens. not even an error message!
