Okay,

I have downloaded and installed Spybot S&D per your instructions. I followed all the steps and then ran the scan. A few things popped up on the list of spyware and two of them were Windows Security Center. One said Windows Security Center Firewall notice and the other was Windows Security Antivirus notice. I removed the stuff I knew to be spyware but left the Windows Security Center stuff alone. I am waiting for your advice as to what it means etc. Any ideas? Also, can I have the Spysweeper and Spybot together or will there be a conflict? Just so you know, I hate the spysweeper. It is a major pain, always interrupting etc. When I bought it, I was told it was the best but I am having doubts.

Is this what you are referring to with Spybot?

And yes you can run Spysweeper and Spybot together without conflict? Actually only the TeaTimer feature if enabled will be running in real time mode.

Thanks for such a fast reply. The Spybot results read as follows: "Windows Security Center Anti Virus Disable Notify" and "Windows Security Center Firewall Disable Notify" That's all it says. I have AVG Free Edition for antivirus and Outpost Firewall. I think somewhere I was asked to disable the Windows Firewall if I was running a separate firewall. Does that sound right to you. I didn't know Windows had an antivirus to be disabled.

Yes, if you are not using the Windows firewall, you need to disable it; having two firewalls running live at the same time can cause major conflicts.
