the dvd-cdrom wont read cd that are burned. They play in all other computers.

And I assume they were not burned on the system that can't read them?

Does it not read ANY burned discs?

What software are you using to burn them?

You didn't answer the first question - do they not work even if you burn them on the system in question?

And you say you never had a problem before..... What is new or different since the last time everything worked properly (ie, new hw, new sw, virus, error, etc)?

This is machine that bsod. had to reload windows xp home edition
