My Windows XP Home SP3 has recently being freezing, taking forever to boot up / shut down, fatal error and blue screens.

The system usally runs very well.

I use AVG 2011 and Malwarebytes (not active) as a backup to scan suspect files.

I have started the search for possible problems and have noted the following in desktop ini.

C:\Documents and Settings\xxx\Start Menu\desktop.ini

Looking at the file properties there has been no change to this file since 2007.

I am questioning this file as I have seen a recent post regarding thiese parametres.

The user was requested to use ComboFix.

Your help would be appreciated
