Hello

I work for an company that uses Combofix daily to fight and clean malware from PCs. Unfortunately a few weeks ago - we can no longer access your site. Our company uses Mcafee webwasher to filter websites we use. And because we're getting the message about the link having a virus our filtering team will not turn off the filter. They said to contact you and let you know to make change to the link or contact Mcafee and find out why their application is blocking your software when it shouldnt. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

We are getting the following message when trying to download:

VIRUS ALERT

The transferred file contained a virus and was therefore blocked by Webwasher!
VirusName: "McAfeeGW: Tool-NirCmd"
Url: "http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe"
File: "http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe"
File type: "-"

Just so you know combofix.org is not a legitimate and authorized download area for combofix. ComboFix should only be downloaded from the locations here:

As for the virus alert, this is obviously a false positive. The only thing I can tell you to do is report it to McAfee as a false positive. I will try to do it as well from my end.

Thanks. I tried the link you gave me. I get the same webwasher message when trying to download from the link you provided. I will contact McAfee as well.
