windows cannot find csrss.exe

one of my engineers computer is posting error: windows cannot find C:Document\.......\csrss.exe
Could not load or run specify in the registry. Make sure the file exist on your computer or remove the reference to it in the registry.
Internet explorer fails to open. MS updates were run during the night. all others connections to server, etc are fine.
any suggestions?

Well...the proper location for a legitimate csrss.exe would not be the path you display...it would have nothing to do with Docs/Settings.

I'll move this topic to the Am I Infected forum.

I would first scan the computer with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (www.malwarebytes.org/). Install it, and have it remove any infected files.
