Hard Disk Problem

After deleting a partition on my hard disk i notice that the other partition is not working also,
it says windows cant format it. Plz help

What kind of partition was this, and what was installed?

Can you please provide a LOT more information about exactly what is going on? What happened, why it happened, what you did, why you did it, the overall configuration of your system, the system itself, etc.

i have a small hard disk around 60GB i thnk i use this for the back up of my phone. it was divided into 2 partition hence i wanted to delete one in it so that i get all 60GB in only 1 partition as i already have another 250GB for my PC which is working properly. i already done back up for the small hard disk also.
Attached is the photo of what i get when going on disk management. the problem is with "DISK 1"

Well you will have to delete both partitions then reformat the drive.

Now "My Computer" dont recognize the hard disk at all.... above is the photo of the same problem

Is it detected in the BIOS at all?

It shows as about 40Gb and there are still two partitions. However, there is nothing on either partition. You'll need to format the drive before the drive will show up in Windows Explorer (my computer).
