Last week I had a virus, or a few, that seems to be resolved with the help of an advisor here (much thanks!).

I couldn't connect to the internet, and had proxy server issues. Ran my McAfee, a Microsoft PC Safety Scan and Malicious Software Removal Tool (which found Backdoor:Win32/Cycbot.B ), a full scan of SuperAntiSpyware, full scan of MalAdware (which found PUM.Bad.Proxy), GMER, and I used Temp Folder Cleaner. The problems seem to be gone, computer is running well, no obvious issues.

However, every time I check my start-up items, I always find ctfmon and msmsgs. I try to delete them from start-up and after I try to click apply it says: An access denied message was returned while attempting to change this service. You may need to log on using an Admin account to make this change. I'll check immediately, they are removed, but then later in the day they are both checked again.

Any suggestions on how to get rid of these? I just want to be sure they aren't starting a problem all over again...

THANKS so much!

ctfmon is part of Office Suites and MSMgs is part of MSN Messenger. You can tell it to stop loading up via MSN Messenger settings.
