iPhone 4 wont connect to 3G

Got my first iPhone and it keeps asking me to connect to wifi when I am out of my house and trying to access Maps, App Store, etc. WHY??

Call up Apple and ask them or take it to a store.

Turn off Wifi.. or turn off ask to join networks.. whenever you access an app that requires internet it will search for wifi if the setting is turned on..

@Cryptodan, getting answers from others who may know was to AVOID having to go to the store and deal with them or call up and deal with them.
@MarkGS THANK YOU! I had the ask to join on and it was interfering with the 3G, looks like thats a fix!

Not everyone on the internet or on this planet has an iphone, and while waiting on a forum to get the answer you could have gotten the answer to your question a lot faster via phone or walk in support.
