I downloaded a folder containing 4 jpgs from my camera to my desktop, as I've done many times before. Now I can't rename, move or delete the folder because it tells me that a file is being used by a program and I should stop the program. There are 4 jpgs in the folder and nothing is using any one of them. This has happened in the past and restarting always solved the problem, but this time it persists. Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Len

Unlocker [WIN 2000/XP]
http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/

Helps delete locked files with error messages like:
-Cannot delete file: Access is denied
-There has been a sharing violation.
-The source or destination file may be in use.
-The file is in use by another program or user.
-Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use.

1. After install, right click the folder or file and select Unlocker from the menu.
2. If the folder or file is locked, a window listing of lockers will appear.
3. Click "Unlock All" and you are done.

Whooo!!! Thanks, quietman7!!!!!!!!!! I have had the same problem as LenB123 (for me, it's video files that are DVIX encoded). I know how to change the permissions in Safe Mode, but this will (hopefully) make my life easier. Thanks again!! :flowers:
