hey there, I'm new to all this, so be patient w/me. I just cured a problem i had and it was tough, till i figured it out. the problem didn't show up for almost two wks after a minor glitch. pc needed to reboot,so i went to one of the F keys, and came up w/diagnostics, which told me something i knew, but i didn't expect it to tell me how to fix it. cryptic and long fingered (not long winded, cause i ain't talkin), so i reactivated the wlan inside my pc, only to start a series of problems. 2 wks later, all i gwt is blue screens. i used all my restore pts. and still had the same problem. i could start up in safe mode,so i deleted a bunch of stuff from the system,i thought might be the problem. luck had it that when the pc was starting up,i noticed, just as netgear was to launch,my firewall shot me a couple of flashes, then blue screen! I unplugged the netgear wireless router, convinced windows to establish my connection, and now i'm aok!

At least you figured out the problem, although it probably took longer than if you had posted about your problem here.
