I am seeing the Google redirect described in your blog (after doing a search all links redirect), but did not see the predecessor issues described (prompt to run a scan, ask to buy software updates). That said, this is a family pc, so it's possible. I am noticing Mcafee Security Scan Plus completes a virus and spywear scan, but is hanging on "Web threats scan 0% complete" .

First, I am not able to run the DDS script. The file is associated with notebook and I'm not sure what to reassign it to for it to run.

I have attached the ark.txt file. Thanks in advance!

It appears that this issue is resolved, therefore I am closing the topic. If that is not the case and you need or wish to continue with this topic, please send me or any Moderator a Personal Message (PM) that you would like this topic re-opened.
The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who haven't got it.
