Hiya, can anyone help with a nasty little bug I am having masses od issues getting rid of.

Scans are finding it called "Win32/Patched.HN trojan" or "Trojan Dropper\SVChost-fake"
It is being found in memory so far.

I have tried to run the following with results

Malware bytes - runs for a few seconds then says windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. you may not have the appropriate permissions to access the file. then it says this everytime on re running

Hijack this - says windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. you may not have the appropriate permissions to access the file also says same on re running.

Running Rkill (the only one to run successfully) gives the below everytime run, even if done again immediately
Rkill was run on 09/07/2011 at 21:56:21.
Operating System: Windows Vista ™ Home Premium
Processes terminated by Rkill or while it was running:
\\\.\globalroot\Device\svchost.exe\svchost.exe
C:\Windows\System32\grpconv.exe

trying to rename an exe says access denied.

Everytime I run a program I get a are you sure, yes / no message.

Only scan run completely was Eset which gave below result:
C:\Program Files\Bonjour\mDNSResponder.exe Win32/Patched.HN trojan cleaned - quarantined
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\AppleMobileDeviceService.exe Win32/Patched.HN trojan cleaned - quarantined
C:\Program Files\Google\Update\GoogleUpdate.exe Win32/Patched.HN trojan error while cleaning
C:\Program Files\Kontiki\KService.exe Win32/Patched.HN trojan error while cleaning
C:\Program Files\Launch Manager\WisLMSvc.exe Win32/Patched.HN trojan error while cleaning

Please, can anyone help me before I chuck this laptop in the bin out of frustration!

Patchers may be tricky to remove....

With the information you have provided I believe you will need help from the malware removal team.
Please make sure that you read the information about getting started first.
Then start a new thread HERE and include or required logs.
Including a link to this thread will be helpful.

Good luck and be patient. Help is on the way!
