I purchased this game a while back and love playing it. When it works. It will lock up and crash on me from time to time. I get the BSOD at times. It's been frustrating for the longest time and I've searched forum after forum trying to find a solution. The EA forums have a huge thread on this issue with people naming every possible reason in the book, but the one I see most often has to do with sound drivers or cards.

Any body else come across these issues and discover an actual fix? I would love you forever.

Sounds like a driver issue to me-I havent had that exact issue, I did have an issue with it not displaying water using the latest ATI drivers for my crossfire setup, but using an older version solved that. What kind of setup are you using, and have you tried an older driver version of your video/sound drivers, or updating them to the latest?
