Windows 7 update

Need help Im getting window 7 update error 0x80070490 can anyone help me? It says that it's installed but by the time it boots up it says it didn't install.

Im still having a problem trying to get service pack 1 on win 7 getting code 0x80074490 can I get some help please..

Are you trying the automatic install through windows update or have you downloaded the service pack through a browser?
