On my brothers computer we downloaded Firefox and Google Earth when we tried to instal them we get the message unable to connect to the internet please check your internet connections there is no problem with the connection as we go on the internet regularly.
An error code number that appears suggest it could be a firewall or antivirus problem we tried disabling both but still got the same message.
His computer is a shop built computer, the O/S system is WINXP Home edition he as 256 mb of RAM and a 40gb HD.
Thanks in anticipation Jonty

What internet connection do you have? Do you use DSL, Dial-up, or Wireless? Also, have you done a spyware/ad-aware scan and a virus scan?
