Hello Alisa and welcome to BC.

Are you trying to follow one of our tutorials? If so which one?

Have you run these scans in Normal Mode?

It sounds like explorer.exe is not launching.
You can always hit Ctrl+Alt+Del to bring up the Task Manager and launch your programs from there (File>New Task (Run...), then click browse).

Hope This Helps.

You can also try and launch explorer.exe from there. It may restore your desktop (depending on what the exact problem is).
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
