Do I need Softonic in Firefox ?

Hi there, . . haven't been here for awhile, and I am not that skilled or proficient at providing answers,cuz, although my PC still has needs, it has been getting me by, and I owe my thanks to Bleeping PC, for all the help over the years.

Whether or not you "need" it is up you. That being said, I've never downloaded anything from there before. Most of the software I use I get directly from the developer, and just about anything else I get from Cnet (http://download.com).
