I've downloaded this update at least 6 times. The download goes fine. Then it says FF5 will install the next time FF is started. I restart FF and it shows that it is installing. Then I get Software Update, Downloading Firefox, Connecting to the update server and a green loading bar that keeps running across the notice. I check About Firefox and it still says Firefox 4.0.1.

Anybody got a fix? If I take the full FF5 download (13.5MB) vs the FF5 update (8.5MB) will I lose my profile/bookmarks?

Just download the full version of Firefox 5 and install it to a new location.
